Grammy-winning Brazilian artist Ludmilla shared their latest single “Paraíso,” the first track taken off her forthcoming LP due later this year. The single is an open-love letter to the artist’s wife and daughter. With a hook that calls back to Keyshia Cole’s “Love,” the single is a sensual, and intimate R&B cut, lacquered in dreamy guitars for a warm celebration of love and family.
Accompanying the single is a tender and cozy visualizer that embodies the beauty of the artist’s love for her family while sharing never-before-seen moments into Ludmilla’s life at home, leading up to the birth of her daughter, Zuri. Aside from the gentle quality of the video, other visual elements enhance Ludmilla’s narrative.
The artist re-imagines the moment Eve takes a bit of the apple and rather be banished, the two bites allow for the artist to find her true peace— her true paradise. As the single slips into the next month, its release in June held many pivotal moments for the artist and her family for a month-long celebration of life and love.
“‘Paraíso’ is perhaps the most intimate song I’ve ever written,” shares the artist. “It’s about my wife, about my daughter, about the family we’ve built. I know what love is because I live it every day. We went through so much to get here, and today I can look at my life and say, ‘This is paradise.’ I had to turn that feeling into music.”
