Yo La Tengo announce 2025 Hanukkah run at Bowery Ballroom

Yo La Tengo have announced their 2025 Hanukkah run at Bowery Ballroom, happening December 14 – December 21. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 5 at 10 AM.

If you’re unfamiliar with this great annual NYC holiday tradition, Yo La Tengo don’t repeat songs throughout the run, and each night has a surprise music and comedy opener, and special guest(s) who join them for their set. There’s also usually another special guest for the encore, and proceeds go to a different charity every night. The 2024 run included surprise sets from The Soft Boys, Sun Ra Arkestra, MJ Lenderman, Fred Armisen, and more.

Meanwhile, Yo La Tengo played Dromfest in the Catskills on Saturday. Their set featured a number of collaboration with other festival players, including Scrawl, Madder Rose‘s Mary Lorson, Salem 66‘s Beth Kaplan, and Dave Rick (B.A.L.L., Bongwater). Check out their Dromfest setlist below.
