faded cassettes is a Puerto Rican-based project led by a musician named Leo, who is preparing for the release of his debut album in October.
Ahead of its release he’s let go of its lead single “cherry cola”, which is about meeting the perfect person but at the wrong time. This feeling of melancholy is captured to perfection on the single, with a blend of dreamy lush post punk and dream pop that carries the torch of classic 80s tracks, as well as some early songs from the 2010s indie blog era from Captured Tracks artists such as Craft Spells and Wild Nothing.
