Seattle-based musician Chris Adkins recently shared his new EP, Leaving It Worse Than You Found It, which features tracks like singles and highlights, “Altoid” and “Vancouver.”
“Altoid” a mix of the jangly indie rock goodness of early Mac DeMarco with a bit of ear Car Seat Headrest. There is a glam rock quality that really takes us back to the early 2010s scene with a youthful spirit that has a shimmering shine to it while also packing its fair share of hooks and emotion.
“Vancouver”, a song bout a former lover and a Vancouver trip, gives a more early 90s slacker rock impression, with a seductive croon of a vocal performance that has some Julian Casablancas to it. It blends these slacker elements with a fuzzy set of blissful guitar work that uses its lo-fi charm to hit with a ton of charm and authority.
You can find both tracks streaming below and find the entire EP available to stream and buy at Bandcamp.
