2 Corinthians 4:17-18 KJV
The Bible says God desires that the knowledge of that glory will cover the earth as well as the sea.
When you meet a man who is genuinely wise by the spirit, it is a spectacular sight to behold.
When you meet a man who is a custodian of true spiritual power by the spirit, it’s a spectacular sight to behold.
When you meet a man who has accessed the blessings of the Lord genuinely with integrity and it’s manifest, it’s a spectacular sight.
When you see extraordinary illumination, spiritual understanding, it’s a spectacular sight.
When you see any dimension of the glory of God manifest in and through the saints, the Bible says the Word became flesh. Became flesh. John 1:14 KJV
What the glory of God is?
- The glory of God is an expression of any and every dimension of him. Any is called his glory.
- His wisdom, his goodness, his favor, his power, his intelligence.
- Every component that makes God God.
- When any dimension of that component finds expression, it is called glory.
- When we talk about the glory of God, we’re attempting to describe the multifaceted dimensions that are in God that seek to find expression.
- And every time the glory of God is revealed to a vessel, God is glorified. Matthew 5:13-16 KJV, Ephesians 2:10 KJV
So God is glorified not just when we desire to have him glorified.
He’s glorified when any and every expression of his glory is safely trapped in a man and revealed to our world.
Every single prayer point you bring before God is your heart seeking to see a dimension of his glory revealed.
What you call answered prayer is the final arrival of the glory of God manifested in the life of a person. We call it answered prayer, but is really a dimension of God’s glory.
Creation will never truly honor the invisible God until the saints who represent him understand the technology of first trapping then revealing his glory.
Travailing is not just to birth what we want. It is to birth the glory is to birth the prophetic.
Travail is a capture of the spiritual technology allotted for revealing the glory of God.
- Excellence is the glory of God revealed.
- Creativity is the glory of God revealed.
- Technology is the glory of God revealed largely from people who will not acknowledge him as the giver. But it is still the glory of God.
- Music, art is a glory of God.
- Everywhere you see light, it is connected to glory.
The way God is glorified is that he invests his glory in the saints and then he mandates them to reveal it to their world.
John 17:1 KJV
- We call it the reflection principle.
What is Travail?
From Bible language, it represents:
- The entire constraints
- The entire disciplines
- The entire sacrifices and
- Ordinances that are required to birth the glory of God and to manifest it in the life of a believer. Romans 8:18-19 KJV, John 16:21 KJV
There Are Three Levels of Authority in The Spirit:
-
The First Level of Authority is a Test. It qualifies you for the other two. The first level of authority in the spirit is authority over things.
When God gives you material things, you don’t have true authority yet. It’s a test. The parable of the talents. It started with material things and ended up with a kingdom. -
The Second Level of Authority Over Territories.
That’s the second level of authority over territories. -
The third and the highest level of authority I know as revealed from scripture is authority to steward God’s program.
– It is the highest and noblest level of authority a man can command.
– God can give you access to the two lift gates of nations and that is commendable.
– But when God can trust you with his program, you see the honor you get from being trusted with God’s program is nobody who participates in that program will succeed in isolation to your contribution.
– He will give you the honor of being at the epicenter. The one who ignores you will do it to their detriment.
There are few things that I want us to understand:
1. Number one is we need to understand God’s program.
The concept of travail means little or nothing to a man who is ignorant as to God’s prophetic program.
Knowing then that travail captures the entire journey to birthing and manifesting the glory of God. The starting point of that journey is a thorough understanding of God’s prophetic program.
There are many people who want to be used by God. There are many people who want to see the glory of God revealed in their lives.
But they are not even aware as to the fact that:
-
Number one there is a prophetic program. And your relevance in the kingdom is not intrinsic. It is dependent on your connection to God’s prophetic program.
If God is moving left, whoever moves left too becomes relevant in that generation.
You don’t have to be evil to be out of relevance. If God goes left and you go right immediately the grace to be relevant is not is no longer in your life because the grace follows his program.
So most people have not taken out time to really understand God’s program. -
God has an agenda for individuals. God has an agenda for territories. God has an agenda for nations. At every point in history prophetically God is executing something. There is a script is written already.
The relevance of men in this kingdom and as per any dispensation is to the degree to which they are able to align with his prophetic program.
Now from a theological standpoint there are two dimensions of God’s program:
-
There is his general program as revealed in scripture that he desires that all men be saved.
Soul-winning is not a special program of God. Anyone who is in Christ should be involved in that.
Disciplehip and territorial transformation.
These ones are God’s general program as written in scripture. If you are a believer that has been methodically mentored, you should be about this.
Soulwinning is not for evangelists. Soulwinning is for everyone who loves the Lord. And desires to see that his heart, that desire, when you love a man, you seek to find out what gives him joy and then you get invested in that agenda. -
But there’s his unique prophetic program which is dispensational.
And this is the assignment of the apostles and the prophets through the sacrifice of alignment to be able to bend over backwards in the spirit and to understand what God is doing as per every dispensation. Ephesians 3:3-5 KJV
So the gospels give you the foundation but the super structure is based on the epistles. John 10:10 KJV.
So God has an agenda and Satan has an agenda.
Every attack of Satan on the saints is a progressive attempt to actualize that agenda from sickness to defeat to failure. It’s a script.
God’s prophetic program. It’s important that all men be saved and that they come unto the knowledge of the truth. But in addition to that, that the glory of God be captured and revealed through the saints. And that by so doing creation will be compelled to bring glory to the name of the Lord.
There are few things that I want us to understand:
2. You need to understand man.
When you understand God’s program, the next port of call in really understanding the subject of travail is to understand man.
Not just from an anthropological standpoint, man as the zenith of God’s creation.
There is an intrinsic design in man that makes him the midwife between good and evil.
That God is looking for that same man and Satan is looking for that same man.
Psalm 85:6 KJV
What is in man what did God put in man that you are mindful of that man is not even aware why is Satan so interested in man why not rocks why not flowers Why not gold? Why not silver?
What is it about man that Satan can give up everything? He was willing to give the world to the man Jesus and said just bow, not bow every day. Bow once and I’m satisfied. That means there is something in man that men are not aware of.
Why is Satan about your life? You need to find out. And why does God insist on you? You hate him, you insult, you run, you backslide. He still comes being vulnerable. What is he looking for? Did he lose his creativity? Could he not create the heavens and the earth again?
After all, all power still belongs to him. Why is it that he does not leave you? You don’t pray, he still comes to you.
I have loved you with an everlasting love, he says. And with my loving kindness, I have drawn you.
How about Satan? Ever determined. In spite of the fact that he was going around the world, he still noted the man, Job, and he brought a case. He said, I’m not satisfied going around the world. There’s still one man that I’ve not been able to penetrate and I’m not satisfied.
What exactly is Satan looking for? Is it barrenness? Is it poverty? You’ll be mistaken to think all that demonic investment is just to make you poor or to make you barren. Or to make you fail or to make you die. No, the agenda is bigger than that.
The same way you think you it’ll be a waste of your understanding to think all God wants you to do is to be rich, to have a car, just to have influence. No, the agenda is bigger than that.
Man occupies a very unique position. Genesis 1:26-28.
- The word image carma is a spiritual quality. Make that man in the reflection of the Christ.
- To make him to function like us to have our physical attributes and that our modus operandi becomes his modus operandi. We create by speaking he will create by speaking. We work by our hands. He will walk by his hands. That’s what it means to be in the likeness of God.
Then the Bible says that that man was enthroned. He was given dominion:
1. Humans are the highest of God’s creation. It’s important for you to know that.
Man is the zenith of God’s creation.
2. Every activity upon the earth is man-dependent. Please understand that these are very strong foundations.
Every activity that happens upon the earth cannot happen except and unless man comes into partnership with a spirit.
The activity of destruction cannot happen independent of the participation of man.
The activity of life and victory and dominion cannot happen outside of the participation of man.
So every activity upon the earth good or bad depends on man. Psalm 115:16.
3. Both God and Satan require men for the execution of their program. This is very important.
Both God and Satan require men for the successful execution of their program. Satan is as powerful as the man willing to partner with him. Listen to that.
Satan’s power is derived from the availability of one man on earth. For as long as there is one man, he can manipulate authority and met out wickedness upon the earth. Ezekiel 21:30.
Someone say I am available. Like you are serious. Say I am available. I am available.
My life changed the day I discovered that as mighty and invincible as God is, he’s made himself vulnerable to my contribution.
That God can do without me. But he’s chosen by his mercy to make me a partner. The Bible calls us co-laborers. It’s a very powerful statement.
It says partakers of the heavenly calling. It’s a heavenly calling, but we are partakers of it. That means in building anything, it is God and me. It is the spirit and the bride.
The word never comes. Miracles never come. A great destiny never comes just because the spirit wants it.
It’s important for you to redefine yourself in light of the honor God has given you. He can do without us. He has the power to raise up stones.
So the next time you say God can do without you, you are right. But from a prophetic standpoint, he’s decided by covenants to incorporate you in his program. Meaning, if you tell God no, he will still move, but he will take a long time to find another person.
Is the reason why God will prefer to clean, fix, work on.
He’s patient is cheaper than starting a fresh.
If you do not understand this about men, you will keep saying, “Lord, why don’t you move?” And God says, “Because you are not ready for me to move.”
Revival have no dates. Revival happens the day the vessels are ready. Hear what I say. The day the vessel is ready, the move can begin. So the delay in time is not God’s desire to delay. Is the slow pace of spiritual evolution from the vessels that need to be used. If you understand me, we are building up to the subject of travail. Else you’ll just laugh over it, travail and then leave with nothing constructive in your mind.
You have to understand God’s program. Then you have to understand man’s role that God can do without us and yet by covenant he’s kept us at the epicenter of his program.
Men are that valuable to God. It’s only men who don’t value men. But spirits value men.
One of the elements of a transformed mind is value for human dignity.
Both God and Satan require men for their program.
The manifestation of God’s desire and prophetic program depends on the willingness and the alignment of men. It does not just depend on prophecy. It depends on the willingness.
For every time you tell God no, a soul pays the price.
For every time you tell God no, a prophet’s destiny is tampered by your disalignment.
An apostle’s destiny is tampered by your disalignment.
Everything in man’s activity is ultimately promoting or interrupting God’s program.
If you understand this, it will sponsor your diligence.
So from a spiritual standpoint, God is not interested whether you are an engineer or architect or whatever. He’s interested in whether your life is birthing his program or obstructing it. That’s it.
There are only two categories in the spirit:
- Those who are about the birthing and the manifestation of God’s glory, God’s program
- Those who are intentionally or unintentionally obstructing it.
When you look at your life from the lens of one whom advances the program or retrogresses the program, you will become committed not religiously. Now you see how relevant you are.
I want you to make a very ambitious statement. Say, “God God can do without me.” Can do without me. But he has chosen He has chosen to make me part of his program.
Say, “God can do without me.” But he has chosen to use my gift, to use my life, to use my education, to use my influence to promote his agenda. Therefore, I am valuable. Therefore, I am useful. Therefore, I am needed in the birthing of God’s program.
Never you allow some naysayer downplay on your relevance. The question is not whether you are the richest or the poorest. The question is not whether you are the most educated or not. The question is not whether you are the most handsome or not. The question is Who is on the Lord’s side?
Relevance in the kingdom is not with respect to personal ambition. It’s with respect to the degree to which your life contributes to the birthing and the manifestation of God’s glory.
That man is the midwife between good and evil. Man is the midwife between the advancement of God’s prophetic program and the delay or the obstruction of it.
And that while God is able to do without us, he’s made himself so vulnerable that his program depends on our obedience, depends on our participation. He calls us co-laborers. He calls us partakers of the heavenly call.
That means when you come to that consciousness and receive it as an honor with humility that I am relevant for God’s program to happen. You don’t receive it out of pride. But it is the truth.
How seasons and how prophetic programs are birthed:
God is the initiator of every vision, every prophetic program. Philippians 2:13 KJV
When God wants to produce a worshipper, when God wants to produce a man of God, a kingdom financier, when God wants to produce, I call them an apostolic Christian.
1. The first thing he gives you is a gift called dissatisfaction.
A man who has not received that gift cannot be at the cutting edge of travailing.
Dissatisfaction is a mystery in the spirit. It is a gift. It’s a cry for more. It’s a hunger for greater. The Bible says it is God who is at work.
.Every time you begin to will an idea that it is engineered it is God who is at work in you.
Now, nobody ever emerges until it starts with this holy anger, this provocation. It will later evolve into something more constructive, but it starts with a dissatisfaction.
Some of you are in that phase right now. You cannot explain the cause of the dissatisfaction, but it has refused to go. It is because it is eternal.
Certain immunities in your life today, you are not prayerful, but you don’t beg. Even before you understood the principles of favor, God seemed to have surrounded you.
Ask any great man you know. They will tell you whether consciously or unconsciously that they remember those times when that seed came.
God dropped it through a dream. God dropped it as you grew.
Sometimes you find yourself as you read the Bible. When you read the Bible, you suddenly find out you are reading yourself. It suddenly changes from the book of Ruth to the book of you. You are reading yourself. Now listen please, you are not just reading the story of a woman who went to Boaz. No, you are reading a road map that is showing you your own destiny. The gift of dissatisfaction.
This dissatisfaction draws you to the place of prayer and the place of intimacy. God does not say go and pray for your destiny. No, he plants the hunger then he watches your response because he needs your will.
Through desire a man what separates a man desire he separates himself then he begins to intermedal with wisdom
Dissatisfied function draws you to prayer and prayer likened to intimacy.
A divine seed is deposited in your spirit.
The first thing you have is not the seed. The first thing you have is the luring to receive the seed. That dissatisfaction is not yet the seed.
The dissatisfaction is God proposing to you that a prophet can arise from you, that an apostle can arise from you, that a worshipper can arise from you.
Now, it depends on your response. Your response should be to go to the place of prayer and begin to walk with God in the place of prayer.
If you stay in the place of prayer, hear me, a seed is deposited in your spirit.
That seed can mean a new season.
That seed can mean wisdom.
It can mean grace.
The moment your spirit receives it, you are now pregnant with prophecy.
Exodus 3:3 KJV
I hope you know the first person God called was not Abraham. God called his father Terra. But Terra and God respected him and now came. If Abraham had refused, God will be patient and raise another one.
The angel refused to leave until Mary said, “Be it unto me.” When did she receive the seed? When she agreed that this is God’s prophetic program and I am the handmaiden, he said, “Behold the handmaiden of the Lord.”
Luke 1:38 KJV
Someone needs to say, “Behold, oh God, behold, I am the available vessel. There are already many, but can I be enlisted among them?
“Be it unto me.” This is a critical part of your manifesting the glory of God.
Many of you like the bride of Christ, he’s been on your case for decades.
Tonight is the night to say yes. Yes. Not yes to be saved. Yes to be part of that prophetic program. And yes will lead to the next thing.
He will call you to prayer and in the place of prayer the seed will be sown in your spirit.
The name given to the seed that is received that child is called a burden. It’s a spiritual language is an expression.
The burden is likened to pregnancy and the first thing it does is to change you. It manipulates your life completely.
A believer who is careless and reckless, it’s not because he’s not serious with God. Is because there is nothing. He has not received the seed.
When you receive the seed while others are sleeping, you will be awake praying because there is.
It started with the gift of dissatisfaction and that drew you to the place of prayer and intimacy allowed for the seed of the spirit and from the day that seed lands in your life you cannot be yourself again.
For some of you, you are on a spiritual gestation period right now. Is the reason why what others do, you can’t do. It’s not because it is right or wrong. It’s because what you are carrying is weighty and what you are carrying is heavy.
Hallelujah. I desire the glory of God to be revealed in and through my life. But that in revealing that glory, I must be mindful of the fact that it is God who is at work in me.
God is at work in Samson, in David, in Ruth. What do you think made Ruth to suddenly want to be around Boaz? This is beyond love. This is destiny. Destiny. Destiny. Destiny. Destiny.
That restlessness in your spirit is not a demonic attack. It’s a gift. A prayer life is on its way.
Imagine a prophetic destiny is on its way. Imagine a deliverer is on its way. Hallelujah.
Praise the name of the Lord.
For some of you, even with salvation tonight, you will be receiving the gift of hunger, the gift of dissatisfaction. In Jesus name we pray.
Lift your right hand and say this loud and clear. Say, “Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, tonight I have heard your word. I’ve heard your word. I love you. I with all my heart with all my heart. I believe I believe you are the son of God. You are the son of God. I believe I believe you died for my sin. You died for my sin. Right now right now I receive Jesus. into my heart into my heart. As my savior as my savior my lord as my lord and my king and my king.
I declare I declare that the power that the power of sin of sin Satan Satan hell hell and the grave and the grave is broken over my life broken from tonight I’m a child of God I’m a child of God I go forward ever I go forward and backward never amen.
I speak the blessing upon you and in the name of Jesus, I call you bonafide recipients of the life of God. The grace to live the victorious Christian life I release upon you and I pray that from today you go forward ever and backward never in Jesus name. Amen.
