Jacob Marshall had reportedly been carried from Forbidden Kingdom’s The Forbidden Realm stage after losing consciousness on Sunday evening.
A New York man named Jacob Marshall passed away after attending Forbidden Kingdom at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando this past weekend.
Social media posts indicate that Marshall, who was in his 30s, lost consciousness at the EDM festival’s The Forbidden Realm Stage sometime between 8:45-10:00pm ET on Sunday, April 26. By the early hours of Monday morning, his cousin, Desiree Quick, shared an online fundraiser to cover the costs associated with his death.
“Jacob had a heart of gold!!” reads the description. “Loving, caring, and always there for the people he loved. He brought light into so many lives, whether it was through his kindness, his dedication to staying strong and healthy through working out, or the love he had for his pets.”
Quick noted that Marshall’s death has added to financial strain faced by his immediate family. “It’s something we never could have prepared for,” she wrote. “Right now, we are facing the painful reality that Jacob is in Florida, and we need help bringing him home to New York so he can be laid to rest surrounded by his family, friends, and everything he knew and loved.”
Marshall’s neice, Autumn, posted a separate social media tribute in his memory. She wrote, “You were more like my big brother than my uncle, thank you for showing me what to do and what not to do. I wish I got to see you have kids and marry someone.”
Neither Marshall’s cause of death nor the specific details of his passing have been confirmed at the time of writing. Forbidden Kingdom promoter Insomniac did not immediately respond to EDM Identity’s request for comment.
We here at EDM Identity offer our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Jacob Marshall during what can only be a difficult time.
