Progressive rock band Big Shrimp will bring their highly anticipated Halloween Extravaganza to Syracuse for the very first time, arriving at Funk n Waffles on Saturday, October 25.
Now in its 8th consecutive year, the Halloween Extravaganza has become a staple of the Northeast music scene. Originally launched as a Baked Shrimp production and later passed on to Big Shrimp, the event is known for its high-concept themes, elaborate stage production, and surprise artistic elements.
Past Halloween shows have included everything from a full horn section in a Blues Brothers tribute to a live improvised soundtrack performed behind a Creature from the Black Lagoon screening.
This year, fans can expect two full sets of music, a costume contest with prizes, and a surprise theme revealed only at showtime. With video screens, custom art installations, and theatrical elements woven throughout the night, the extravaganza is a fully mesmerizing experience.
